Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa spent their teenage years practicing under YG Entertainment's tough and very competitive system before they became famous around the world as BLACKPINK. The hours spent in intense dance rehearsals, singing lessons, and foreign language classes were some of the most essential of their lives. They put in a lot of time and effort to become outstanding at what they did, often sacrificing rest and leisure activities to keep up with the demanding schedule.
The girls overcame these obstacles and created a solid friendship that continues to thrive to this day. Although difficult and time-consuming, BLACKPINK's training years were crucial in developing the group into the international phenomenon they are today.
Making Waves in the Music Industry
The phenomenal South Korean girl group BLACKPINK has created huge waves in the K-pop industry and beyond. K-pop's ability to interact with international musicians and incorporate global music influences is one of its defining features. Their work with American pop sensation Cardi-B on "Bet You Wanna" and Selena Gomez on "Ice Cream" showcased a carefree, summery mood, while their collaboration with Lady Gaga on "Sour Candy" was a blend of electronic dance and pop that resonated with fans all over the world. Not only have these projects helped BLACKPINK get more fans around the world, but they have also shown how versatile and adaptable K-pop can be.
Blackpink has had multiple singles and albums that reached number one all around the world. As the highest-charting album by an all-female quartet since 2008, "The Album" opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
MTV Music Awards, Asia Artist Awards, and Golden Disc Awards are just a few of the many honors BLACKPINK has achieved. Both the press and the public have taken notice of their outstanding skills and work.
