In this newsletter, we will explore all that Korea has to offer during this picture perfect time of year.
Cherry Blossom Festivals
One of the most beautiful springtime attractions in Korea is the blooming of cherry blossoms. They bloom throughout the month of April. The beautiful pink and white petals are a sight to behold, and they transform the entire country into a beautiful pastel paradise. Also, there are many festivals, including the Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival, the Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival.
Visit Historic Sites
Spring is a great time to explore South Korea's rich history and culture. Head to Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul to see the changing of the guards and tour the palace grounds, or visit the ancient city of Gyeongju to see historic sites such as the Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto.
Enjoy the Outdoors
Spring is the perfect time to enjoy South Korea's great outdoors. Take a stroll along the Han River in Seoul, rent a bike and cycle through the countryside, or enjoy a picnic in one of the many parks throughout the country. Another popular springtime attraction in Korea is Seorak Mountain National Park. During the spring months, the park is at its most beautiful, with wildflowers and cherry blossoms lining paths and creating a beautiful and fragrant environment. This park is especially popular for experiencing beautiful hiking trails, stunning views, and a wide variety of flowers and plants.
Try Local Cuisine
South Korean cuisine is known for its bold flavors and unique dishes. Spring is a great time to try traditional Korean dishes such as bibimbap, galbi, and samgyetang, or indulge in some street food such as hotteok or tteokbokki.
Shop at Local Markets
Numerous busy markets sell everything from local produce to tourist trinkets in South Korea. Visit the Jagalchi Fish Market in Busan for some of the freshest seafood around, or the Gwangjang Market in Seoul for some delicious street food and handmade goods.
In conclusion, Korea is a beautiful destination to visit during the springtime. With its stunning cherry blossoms, national parks, traditional villages, and delicious food, there is something for everyone to enjoy. So why not plan a trip to Korea this spring and experience all that this wonderful country has to offer?
