When was the last time you failed?
We should be more afraid of living a life without any failures at all.
When was the last time you failed?
Did you miss a mark on an exam? Or did a project not go as planned? Congratulations—you just dared to try again.
Just two weeks ago, SpaceX celebrated a monumental achievement—its fifth test flight of the Starship rocket system, which successfully launched, separated, and returned both stages. This journey wasn’t easy. SpaceX faced multiple challenges, with rockets failing or experiencing issues during earlier tests. Yet each setback became a stepping stone toward improvement and innovation.
What truly sets SpaceX apart is resilience—their commitment to learning from every attempt, regardless of the outcome. This recent Starship test is more than just a mission; it's a testament to the power of persistence, the importance of learning from mistakes, and the value of setting ambitious goals.
Too often, we measure success by accomplishments alone.
But what truly matters is our willingness to step out of our comfort zones, embrace challenges, and keep moving forward despite setbacks. Real growth means stumbling and learning from our mistakes, just like SpaceX did with every attempt.
When I was traveling in Thailand, I made a mistake myself, but that very mistake led to a new experience and a valuable lesson. It reminded me that the important thing is to try—to keep moving forward, even when things don’t go as planned.
We should be more afraid of living a life without any failures at all.
Imagine living a life without any failures at all—what a missed opportunity for growth that would be! If you’ve faced a challenge recently, or if something felt just out of reach, congratulations—you’re truly living.
